After defining your Product and Tank Type codes, the Product Setup Tanks frame allows you to establish the relationship between user-defined tank numbers and the products they store at your Fuel Locations. These tanks may hold gas, diesel, oil or other consumable products.
Create
To create a new tank at a given location, enter a valid fuel location or double click in the Location field to select one from the list of values (LOV). Your login location is the default value.
In the blank Tank No. field, enter a new tank number. This field has a limit of two digits. The Group Type and Tank Group fields are read-only and will populate automatically if and when the tank number becomes part of a Tank Group. (Tanks with a Group Type value of 'S' are 'Sub-Tanks' in a group and tanks with a value of 'M' are 'Master Tanks' for the tank group).
Next, enter a valid Product in the Product No. field. The Product Description will populate automatically. In the Type field, enter a valid Tank Type or double click to select one from the list of values (LOV). You must first create and define these types on the Product Setup Tank Types frame.
The Type Description field refers to the 'Additional Notes' section on the Product Setup Tank Types frame. In the Adj. Account field you can enter a valid Indirect Account for fuel charges. The Account Description populates automatically.
EVR II Enforced indicates Enhanced Vapor Recovery status on the tank, check this box if this is to be enforced on the particular tank.
When you are finished setting up the tank or tanks for the fueling location, click the 'Save' button at the top of the frame.
Modify
To make modifications to a tank or tanks at a location, enter or select the fuel location to load the list of tanks.
You can change the Product Number, Type, and Account if necessary as well as the EVR II Enforced flag. When finished, click the 'Save' button at the top of the frame to update the record.
Delete
You can delete a tank from a fueling location provided that tank is not in use on any other tables in the system, i.e. part of a tank group.
To delete a tank that is not in use elsewhere, click in the row of the tank you want to delete to make it active. Click the 'Delete' button at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click the 'Save' button to remove the record from the list.
