The Payroll Time Types frame allows you to define and configure the various time types that will be used for recording labor for payroll processing. The various pay scales are user-defined. Some examples would be, 'Regular Time', 'Overtime', Double-Time'. Only one default can be chosen on the Time Types Matrix.
Create
To create a new time type, click in the blank Code field and enter a new time type code. This field has a limit of three characters. Enter a description for the new time type. This field has a limit of 20 characters.
For example: REG - REGULAR PAY, OT - OVERTIME, PTO - PERSONAL TIME OFF
Check any of the following flags that apply:
Exclude from OT
Rate Adjust
Base Hours
Temp Not Allowed
If applicable, enter the max hours for the time type. The Other Data field is a free form field with a 20 character limit.
Modify
You can modify the Description, flags, Max Hours, or the Other Data fields for existing time types. When finished making changes, click the Save button to update the record.
Disable
To disable a time type, check the Disabled box in the row of the type you want to disable. Click Save to disable the code.
Delete
You can delete a time type provided it is not in use anywhere in the system. If the code is in use, you will not be able to delete it from the system.
To delete a time type that is not in use, click in the row of the time type you want to delete to make it active. Click the Delete button (Red X) at the top of the frame. The selected row will turn red. Click the Save button to delete the time type from the list of codes.
